Frank Rossi, Agronomist
Dr. Frank Rossi is one of the world’s leading experts on turfgrass science. Dr. Rossi is an Associate Professor of Turfgrass Science in the Department of Horticulture at Cornell University and a Visiting Professor at the Swedish Agriculture University in Alnarp. He also serves on the board of directors of the International Sustainability Council. Frank has worked with Barry Jordan on several of his golf course projects and Barry and Frank have maintained a professional friendship since 1981 when the two met in college. Rossi has spent more than 35 years in the turfgrass industry and is at the forefront of the golf industry as a researcher, lecturer and former superintendent who specializes in the ecological aspects of turfgrass science. Dr. Rossi was the lead turf consultant for the 2002 and 2009 US Open Golf Championships at Bethpage Black. Rossi, and also served as the lead turf consultant for the New York Yankees and the Green Bay Packers. He is currently working to select the proper grasses for the Olympic project in Rio de Janeiro.
Bradley Klein, Golf Course Historian
Bradley Klein is architecture editor for Golfweek Magazine and runs its national course rating system. A former PGA Tour caddie and 2006 inductee into the International Caddie Hall of Fame, he holds a Ph. D. in political science and has written and lectured widely on golf design, the golf development industry, golf course operations and management. He has been a design consultant on dozens of projects, including two dozen Donald Ross courses and on Old MacDonald, the newly opened fourth course at Bandon Dunes Resort in Oregon. Klein's role in Jordan Golf Design projects will focus on providing historical analysis for existing courses, and creative collaboration on new designs.
